No idea why not. The early one's just aren't. It would take a more clued up, on the technical ins and outs , and peculiarities of L322 than I, to possibly give an answer. The socket is physically compatible, but not electronically compliant. I believe the issue lies with the ECUs.
The more I search, the more I see this issue has been discussed before, with the same tail chasing results :(
Have you ever had anything plugged into it?

noticed sometimes the LPG switch stays lit when I turn the engine off :( have a feeling this is a car problem not an lpg problem, but dont know where the lpg gets its switched live from (yet)

Got back from our weekend round trip today in my L405. Did around 500 miles in total and she did not miss a beat. Lovely smooth car and very quick when needed to be. Average mpg up North was 36 mpg and back today was 40 mpg both trips at a steady 65-70 mph. Wet and raining both ways albeit not as much stopping and starting in traffic on way back compared to way up. Very happy albeit car is filthy but will get a good scrub this week. LOL
