Thought I'd have another look at the LPG misfire on #2 and #3, figure it must be spark related, too uncanny to be on a coil pair. Swapped plugs round, swapped plug leads, problem persists but fine on petrol
Kermie, if she runs fine on petrol side then its deffo an LPG system issue buddy. Get it checked and serviced or rip it all out.

not necessarily, LPG is harder on the HT side and will find any weaknesses that won't show with petrol, for example a plug gap thats too large will spark thru petrol vapour but not (dry) gas

Does the LPG not piggy-back off the petrol injector firing? So presumably it ties in somewhere with a connector?

So, today the old lady lost, best gestimate, 80-90 kg of weight, half of it on the roof. Meaning I removed the bullbar (appr. 10kg), roof rack (appr. 40 kg) and the rear towing ball (rated at 6.5 tons it came it at at least 30kg probably more). Fuel consumption test drive maybe tomorrow! The rear springs completely turned into steel bars it seems. Time to finally get some police spec springs me thinks...

From memory, it's been years since I fitted an overdrive unit , make sure that you fit the thrust washer to eliminate excess end float. Someone will have more info.

Remember years ago had a V8 rover SD1 which had a misfire. Just couldn't find the fault till I lifted bonnet on a very dark night light where there was not any light and noticed one one the plugs tracking. A very good clean with paraffin and paint brush and all was well. May be worth a try
Had similar on the Guzzi years ago, misfire, guessed wrong which pot it was when I pulled the lead off at idle. Expected it to stall as I pulled the good lead off, instead, stupidly doing it in the rain at the lights on my way home, I got the engine running one one for about 7 or 8 strokes while I got 7 or 8 good big tracks through my left arm and hand.

Also, don't search for a tracking / misfire after using contact cleaner until everything is absolutely dry. Otherwise you end up with a really realistic flame effect in your wiring loom and a lot of swearing.

Not sure, i know if i unplug the lpg 'driver' ecu, the car won't run on petrol, though if i unplug the lpg ecu out will run just fine. I traced the wires for the injectors and they seem ok, at least my dvm beeps to say there's a connection between the plug on the Bosch ecu and the plug on the lpg ecu

Oh, and today had to take the spare key to the garage as in changing the battery they had managed to de-synch the key from the car and could no longer start it.....

Got all the bits I need, I think, just waiting on the screen and the weather. Went for bearmach unit that is actually cheaper to buy through Britpart?
Bought one of those vibrating multitools to tease the old one out, that urethane is unbelievably strong stuff despite being in there 26 years. Got good few days work on it to get ship shape Plus I have to take the fence down and get it to the garage. Fixtures all came off okay apart from the top beading. I bent it a little and few of the tangs snapped. May try bonding it on if that doesn’t work il go new.

Not the same price on top?

Two factories owned by same company perhaps? You can get a BP screen or a BM screen. Both are slightly different and all prices are different with both units with both suppliers?

Did you try the press to unlock then turn to unlock then press to lock and then turn to lock. Repeat as required? Sometimes needing unlocking with a good key first using the blipper. Failing that it is a clear RF memory job using diag.

If you unplug the LPG ECU it runs fine on petrol? Well, I know what I would do!

Just witness a grail storm adding some dents to the already dented roof. Now I have two bigger and a couple of smaller acceleration dents to get rid of.

Good question regarding Britpart and Bearmach, for me Bearmach was always the higher tier supplier in case I can't live with, worst case, "consumable" parts.

The Holy Grail? Or just normal
