Photocard licence needs to be renewed every ten years.
You have to renew at 70
Photo card needs renewing every 10, licence needs renewing at 70, you lose C1 and above, or pay for a medical if you want to keep it

Fortunately, I don't have to worry about all that for almost 20 years!
But I do know that the photocards need renewing with a new photo every ten years.

Still quite a few around. But if you move, or have to send your licence off for some reason, they only send photocards back.Whats a photocard licence
We had to have a medical to keep our full entitlement when we changed ours to a BG licence, we are not even bloody 60 yet. To keep the E
it is also only valid for 5yrs.
We were asked several times why we wanted these groups. “Because there ours and we want the ability if the need should arise.”
Oh and we have a couple of big arse trailers
Dad did complain a little when he lost his entitlements but he’s got over it now (14 years later

I have never done it, only had my card 6 years.
But when I do, I think I am going to get a form, and send it all off in the post.
Things I try and do online usually seem to go tits up.

It’s just a renewal Dopes so you look like you do now on your licence not like when you passed your test.
Keep it for aslong as you can. They try all sorts to replace it with plastic but yours is just as legal.Whats a photocard licence

I intend keeping it, if i do need a plastic one i will say i have lost it so dont have to send it off and then just find it again, as it is proof of my entitlements as there have been a lot that have lost stuff and cant prove it to dvla.

Wouldn't say it was a nightmare, because I knew there might be problems, so I carried the green New Keeper slip in my wallet until the new doc came though.
But it did take quite a long time.

Jez man, swapping over from Virgin to Plusnet with be changing it all and setting it up has taken me 3 days, had to buy new leads (and extra) from Amazon (with next day delivery) and my not so smart TV didn't like the change and threw a wobbly, so I have gone from like 350mb to 10mb..... but my internet is the same as before, but the saving is virgin £53 (that's with a discount) and £18 now..... a pain, but worth the saving
I've just renewed mine online, if you've got more than 6 months left on your passport, they just use the photo from that, bloody liberty at 14 quid though, got to do it again when
I have me medical in 4 years time
but, and this has got to be a first for DVLA, I received it 3 days later
