Growing style I believe. The RR’s seem to look more hippoish the newer they get, and the Discos

If they continue to mongrelise them any more they will all be exactly the same just different badge across the bonnet.

It looks as much a Disco as an Hippo as a RR? No sign of defender styling though. MK1s are definitively different machines but now...

volvos of old yes I agree. mine is a mix of ford/citroen and mazda…. goes like an idiot and corners on rails but feels like biscuit tin.
my favourite era is before the 2000's.
the later freelanders I like. said it out loud.....
I've had several Volvo's, a friend had a Volvo repair shop and I used to get to buy cheap high mileage ones that he did not want to put on the forecourt in return for sorting electrical/electronic problems, the last was 960 estate, wish I'd kept it, if it had been a diesel I would still have it. Close to 300K miles and everything still worked including the auto box, too thirsty for my retirement.

A prestigious long term LZ member has in his kindness given me a box (shaped like a box:p) of compressorlings :)

Seems to all be there bar one seal. New pipe  - I am well fortunate to be in the company of such great people :):):)

In lieu of payment the PO asked that I make a donation to Landyzone on his behalf - what a guy eh

My question is (@wammers) - are donations still possible, if so how?

Not posh enough for a suitcase:D:D
My grandmother bought it in the 20’s for holidays with the family in Somerset.

Just to keep dust out settles in shed more? Think if I pick it up the compressor and block will rip through it

When I’ve finished you can have the broken suitcase and sit there with it pretending to be posh dipping battenburgs in gin :D

I say old chap jolly sporting of you what. Will fit it to the back of the old two seater and take her for a spin. Actually prefer whisky but cant have these days due to all the medication for my ticker
Seriously I do believe there is a market for old suitcases like that so look after it could be worth a couple of quid.

All you have to do now is remember where everything goes. Hope none of the marker has rubbed off. :D:D
Remember what....? Lol.

It’s okay Wammers will talk me through it :D:D:D;)
I should be okay. You’ve taught me pretty well

Any ideas on the donations (^^^) ? You are the only one I know that comes with your own red warning :p:D;)
