turns out there is a slight difference in the bulkhead position , so i will be altering the position of the bulkhead to chassis brackets with the steering coloumn etc to gain myself 8 - 10mm any other difference can be taken out by the windscreen position, by altering the wing nuts

Very nice. I suspect I may have fitting issues with my S3 rebuild later on but interesting to hear how you intend adjusting it to fit.

very nice, could we have a close up of the cab floor please

sorry, could I have a close up ......

yes mate, will take you a pic tomorrow , i presume you mean the ally floor pans etc?

nowt else i can say exept its bloory beautifull that is :D:D:D:D

cheers mate , hows yours looking

Very nice. I suspect I may have fitting issues with my S3 rebuild later on but interesting to hear how you intend adjusting it to fit.

will keep you up dated, but as usual , it wont go to plan , and il end up using a stihl saw and lump hammer to make final ajustments

I wuz teasing you about what looks like CP floor pans

 i was gunna take you a close up ! ,

as someone donated that checker plate ,it seemed a shame not to use it , the paint dont last 5 mins on the floors so it seemed a good idea, brakes all that yellow up too,

mines not lookin too bad at the moment ive replaced all me tranny and gearbox oil yesterday and to my horror it wasnt gear oil in them i dont exactly know what it was exept the nearest thing to it comes out of an engine after chronic HGF so its been a full flush and inspection with new gaskets throughout

thankfully no rust on the cogs or anything though

also got to help me old mate over the street to free him up to get me pump timing sorted
a favour for a favour :D:D:D

well , as described i adjusted the angle of the bulkhead as required to gain my 10mm,

a quick respray of the passenger door post as last week i gave it a quick wipe with wat i thort was a clean rag, turned out what ever was on it reacted with the paint and blistered it to **** :( so i stripped it , primed and painted it again tonight

DSC00706.jpg

and its started......... ****in brake fluid, had to crack the top union to let it draw some fluid into the new cylinders as the split systems higher than the original , i knew i spilt a drop, but i thort the two buckets of water had done the trick , obviously not ....

just in from glazing my cab, weathers been spot on so sprayed my new door tops today too, looking more and more like a landrover now , pics tomorrow

Very nice. Can't wait to get started on mine now but I've got to wait until our garage is built.

At long last its been on its maiden voyage, soon to find the carb not quite right, air screw not making any difference to pick up, main jets have been "cleaned" out by a previous owner so it over fuells and chokes its self when pulling off from lights, have ordered new webber so hope that solves the problems, off to sand blasters in morning to pick up tail gate and few last bits, so more pics to come
