Today I waved as I passed 2 disco's, 1 rangerover classic and 3 Defenders and all 6 drivers waved back at me, I was amazed. It may have been because the sun was shining and everyone was happy. First time that has happened when all waved back.;)

Had five waves this morning within a half hour journey..one particularly enthusiastic father/child combo ...Right made my day :)

As a former Defender driver who's now in a Disco, I have been suffering acute DIODICINIADALWCD

(Do I Or Don't I 'Cos I'm Not In A Defender Anymore Landy Wave Confusion Disorder)

I WANT to, but am unsure what the reception will be from my former 'Proper Landrover Driver' peers.

The irony is that all the work I've done to my Disco is mechanical, whereas most of the work to my two Defenders was cosmetic.......

But having perused this thread I see that I'm not alone, so I'm saying Feckit, I'm waving!

After all, I DO have an A bar and spotlights... :)

I tend to get waves when driving the series one as well as a lot of grumpy faces on non landy lovers once they realise I'm ragging a V8 through town in second :eek:

No one waves at the disco though! Its an oucast

I don't know why RRC owners don't wave. I will make sure to wave every Land-Rover owner I see, although at least around where I live you'd have your hand off the steering wheel almost permanently as it can be every other car is a Land-Rover almost. :eek:

Funny bunch. Two land rover owners see each other in the distance.. perhaps 300 yards away. the first 100 yards, you move your hand to the correct position, maybe right hand to 11 o'clock. the next 100 yards, you are determining whether they will wave back or not. (if they have a modest landy) and the last 100 yards, you are make your move..

not sure if someone else has mentioned it as I haven't read through all the posts but there also seems to be the spotlight/light rack show off. Two landys with plenty of spots.. time to show each other what you got.

When the weather's sunny it makes people wave better. I was out today and did quite a lot of waving as we've had a bright early summer day here in the east midlands and got lots of waves back. I waved for a while and then I tried beeping the horn instead, which seemed to work quite well too.

Just saw that post and I worried that it was my dangly bits you were on about :eek:

Sorry Dave:eek::D

As it was sunny today I had my window down which allows for the arm out the window wave. Not quite sure I have mastered the technique yet:rolleyes: but I did get a wave back from a 110 along with a gawp- then again that might be my singing:D
