Why does my p38 go randomly into high mode then go back to normal. Top 2 lights flash. It seems to happen on every journey nowadays and its only driven a few miles at a time. 2001
Isn't this related to the connections in the nsf a post?
Can you give me a little more to go on . How do I get at this connection. Why would it be damp?
I believe the one they are referring to is the one behind the kick panel on the left-hand (passenger) side.
Why is a good question. Mine's a '95 and looks perfect but many others have not been so lucky. So, not sure why.
Mine has done that for years. I have had it on Testbook. Autoligic and launch. No faults showed up. All sensors checked for movement and resistance and the white plug checked for corrosion and given a squirt of switch cleaner just in case. It still does it, often two or three times on a short run to town. If I catch it on the button just as it starts flashing up it will return to normal. I have lived with this problem for over five years, in which time I have had to replace the pump and air springs. I have the software to reset all the heights and did this measuring each corner height. It is sometimes slow to respond to the button if I want to put it to access mode but for the times that is needed I have just put up with it.
We live in the same world......Mine has done that for years. I have had it on Testbook. Autoligic and launch. No faults showed up.
I followed the red grey wire and it connects to the obd port so maybe thats the reason I have had issues getting the pc to connect. I think its the spade connectors gone soft in the 3 pin plug connecting the pump. How do I repair this can a new connector be bought?
