I've just posted my 'attempt' at a review for this device.. It's in the reviews section here at LandyZone - Vortex Exhaust Review

Don't forget everybody here can post reviews on any product. If it currently isn't listed then you can even add the products yourself.

In view of the total absence of response from the Vortex people to our perfectly reasonable suggestions about "before and after" trials of their product, and their claims of hundreds of satisfied LandRover customers using Vortex exhausts, I take it that we may now conclude that they were telling lies, that they do NOT have hundreds of satisfied LandRover owner customers, and that their products do NOT produce the claimed gains, and than it a few words they are liars, cheats and snake oil sellers.

They can sue me if they don't agree.

I hope they will be hearing from Trading Standards and the Advertising Standards Agency soon.

Thanks Angelo,
Noise and power are not associated.
But younger drivers like the noise as it gives the ILLUSION of more ooomph, when in fact it usually does the opposite.

Still no word from Vortex ....

What are the general views about fitting a Tornado system on a TD5, from Twisted Performance? Any noticeable increases in the usual things such as bhp, torque, mpg etc...? Cheers.

If a Vortex Sucks, and an Exhaust blows, can we not assume then, that based on this gross oxymoron, the "Performance" bit in the middle is probably pure crap?

Why should The Vortex snake-oil sellers have their name prominently and permanently displayed at the top of LandyZone's main screen?

As they are selling a useless bit of junk, should we help them?

Iv'e just been on their site, and I cant find anything that looks untoward? I'm confused. Perhaps the claims are a bit overblown, but it just looks like a free flowing system.

Have they removed a product from their line up?

This is what they said early on:

It is not uncommon for road vehicles to gain more than 100 miles per tank in range with a vortex fitted. We have hundreds of owners of Land Rovers with this outcome after fitting a vortex exhaust.

If you want more information phone me at Vortex and I will provide you with proof. Tel: 01708 86889

LandyZoners have repeatedly and politely asked Vortex to supply the proof of these "hundreds of owners of LandRovers" getting an extra hundred miles per tank of fuel. Do YOU believe that? Not many here do either.
Vortex have ignored all such requests, and the consensus seems to be that most LZers think Vortex is telling fibs and /or selling 'snake oil'.

Apart from me confoosion as to why this has bin resurrected. LRUK did a rolling road comparison of the same vehicle with and without Cyclone fitted and published the results. the verdict. A Complete waste of money..

Resurrected by me because I am offended that EVERY TIME I enter LandyZone, right at the top of the list is an item

VORTEX PERFORMANCE EXHAUSTS

This is free advertising of a series of useless products, and I cannot understand why the moderators don't remove it.

Arrow Vortex Performance Exhaust

So it isn't an advert, just a THREAD SUBJECT but always for YEARS appearing top of the list.

As the product does NOT do what they claim, that seems wrong to me.

Ahh. Yer that is a very big claim.
I thought from reading earlier posts it was a hyclone type thing. I get the impresiion the vortex exhaust would perform like any other sports exhaust. 100 extra miles sounds like crap though.

I have just had a vortex system fitted to my 2.5 turbo diesel range rover P38 and found the difference instantly. The power is much smoother and I am getting around 600 miles on a tankfull of mixed driving which for something that weighs about 2 1/2 tonnes with an automatic box doing around 32 m.p.g. is amazing. I am fitting one onto a 620 h.p. Scania when they have built it so I will let you know on that when we have the figures.
