Well long time since I been here! Just thought Id fly in and pay a visit! How are you all?!

Reading the thread and from experience of a similar issue...

Firstly your new 'Hurricane' Wheels are they propa' P38 hurricane or L322 'hurricane' that somebody told you were hurricane(i.e. the same as the ones on my pic) ? They're very similar in style but all L322/ RRS wheels will require spigot rings to be fitted so the wheel sits on the hub correctly - as the nuts don't self-centre your wheels will be all over the place without them and will cause the symptoms you describe. If the previous L322 wheels you removed were run without spigots for any length of time you may have damaged the hub seats anyway.

Secondly - again from experience and as I found out, no reputable garage in the universe wants to replace ball joints on a P38 - have they been pressed in correctly? I remember mine on the press requiring nearly 18 tons (can they be done properly in situ?), 2 hours a side and numerous expletives from matey mechanic to get them to seat correctly with aftermarket bjs, so they are worth checking.

Good luck - as always when you find the solution let us all know

After thought: If you do have wobbly wheels as in option 1 expect to have wobbly/warped/high spots on brake discs to - which will cause even worse vibration on braking. Massive ripple effect from not having spigot rings

Hi

Yes have chased all around the houses trying to sort this, the Hurricanes are correct as they match the original in the spare well.

Have a look at my post on page 4 which I think outlines the cause and the cure, so far it's worked for me........fingers crossed
