Guys am stuck at side of road and rangey 96 DSE Manual sitting on bump stops....
ive got tools / cable / jack etc etc all in the car how the f*k can i get this to raise or over ride to get me home...???
I tried moving it but no way can i risk 30+ miles coz i think by sounds of it that its hittin plastic arches.
EAS fault on dash 35mph and all light flash & then go solid
Cheers

hey dude. you have to have diagnostics or a reset tool. other than that your stuck on the bumpstops. where are you?

Whereabouts are you stuck, someone maybe close by who can help out!

By the sounds of it, the system is in hard fault (message on dash and all the lights lit) the only way is via diagnostics!

Now, whilst it might seem like it is banging on the arches, unless you have stupid big wheels, it isn't rubbing on anything.

The P38 os fitted with rubber bumpstops mounted on the chassis above the axles....so when she does sink to the floor, she sits on these rubber bumps...

If it is safe to do so, pop out of the car and take a look to make sure yours are still fitted! they look like large rubber bullets.

Whilst the ride will be very bouncy and uncomfortable, and aslong as you keep it below 30mph, you can drive home on the bumps, this is what they are designed for, motorway speeds are dangerous on the bumps as she will bounce around, so must be avoided it at all possible....

If your bumps are missing, and the axle is pretty much on the chassis, then you'll need to be recovered!

His previous posts would indicate that he's around Fife in Scotland. But, of course, unless he tells us, it's going to be a bit difficult helping him.

Mines is definitely rubbing in the plastic wheel liners lol... can see it on the tyres where its made contact

Sorry mate not anywhere near or i would help out. If you havent got it already, you should really get the eas kit from DATATEK. Give him a shout and he will sort you out. Its not expensive and is really invaluable.

Cheers Rob

Theres no way i'm risking it, it is rubbing on wheel liners and i have a dual carriageway between here & where im heading too so logically it would be mental to attempt lol... and 2ndly i doubt police would be chuffed

can yu fit some wooden blocks on bump stops to act as spacers?

how about someone following as shotgun?

unlikely to be fixed where it is, so it will have to be moved some distance...

ideas?

I think theres a way to get the pump to run. you insert some wire in the relay terminals i think............... let me see if i can find the thread.......... i might be wrong so dont get your hopes up dude.

I was just thinking the wooden block idea. Does the op have straps in his car? Any idea where hes going to or just trying to get to safer place
