Ive been told you are the expert on this stuff!! Im currently running blue springs with 9 coils on the front and 8 on the rear. Does this sound right to you??

So many lift kits or so called kits out there it's hard to tell what you have tbh

I run a 90 tdi (heavy engine not v8 light engine) a winch and hefty winch bumper the front is about right I have a hard top and roof rack and red whites were too soft on the back as mine is usually packed full of tools and crap more so nowadays that it used to be. I had some plus 2 inch springs which are perfect weight loaded up but too short so I will add 2 inch blocks to get it back to usable.

It's an art getting suspension to work right not rubbing and all sorted will take time and some thought anyone can throw on a "lift kit" in my opinion there isn't a such thing that works out the box properly because everyone needs different things and its all a compromise. If you want any help ask that's what we're here for people will agree and others disagree but asking as you get somthing that works who cares what others think

Im also running a tdi with a big winch and bumper etc. I was just confused with the front having more coils then the rear. Thought it would be the opposite way around?

I might just remove them as I have no idea what im working with or even if they are fitted the right way around! Im pretty good with motocross suspension but this is waaaay more complicated. I think I just need a lot of practice and advice.
Thanks

I gave gwyn Lewis a call, said I use it mostly off road, sometimes camping but I don't use it every day mostly off roading, I have a tubular winch bumper what winch I have and he said, you need x y and z I said ok paid and next day I had 4 new spings and olds of other stuff,

I'd try call him as he knows his stuff, each to there own

Gwyn is very good and reasonably priced but the springs you can't bet paddocks prices for springs alone. He does some nice stuff I had to keep std shock mounts for the comps I do so I had to use a setup I knew would work. Plus gwyn only started selling stuff online around 3 or 4 yrs ago well he came to my attention around then. before that it was scrapion racing extortionate priced crap or make it yourself my springs have been on since 2004 and many many trials and comps theyre still ok.
