Look like good road tyres but not sure about poor surface grip. I've got the standard AT's in this size.

It won't ever be "offroad" as such. But I was a bit worried that it looks just like you say. A good road tyre. The Goodyear Wranglers at least had some slight grip on the side wall, where these appear to have none. Don't want to go as far as AT's.

Iv been looking at the Maxxis AT771 for my disco II, can anybody recommend them? or not as the case may be, ill be mainly driving on road but when I do go offroad ill likely be towing so need plenty of grip

Cheers, Chris

Cheers MD. Like the look of the AT2 but Disco is mainly for the wifes work, and towing the caravan. They would be wasted on it !!

There are plenty of other brands and prices on there, I ordered my BFG muds off them and they came pretty quick, took them down to kwik ift and they fited and balanced them for £14 a wheel

Goodyear Wranglers HP are a M+S rated tyre, so in between the high speed road tyre and an AT tyre, so why not look at another brand that is M+S with a similar spec.
