is it possible to turn the leaf springs on a series 3 upside down to give stiffer suspension and more height? some guy said it was and i thought the guys on the forum will laugh at me for asking this but there we go im prepared for it this time lol.....

fink ee means spring over axle G-Spot.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahashahsahsahsahashahahahahahaahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anything's possible ... it's whether it'll do what you want should be the real question, and what you really need to think about or explain ... ;)

one word.....
don't!

more than one word....

its dangerous

it will fook up your steering geometry

it will eat UJs

you will look like a tit

you will not be able to go near sideslopes

so yer end up with summit like this:eek:

i dont mean over axels i mean just flip them 180 degrees so they bend the opposite way up to how they do now...

that will make them arc upwards! the springs are pre-formed sprung steel

apart from the fact your chassis will be in the way if you have an 88" your axle would be level with the top of your chassis

No.

Nononononononononononononono

No, fercrisssakes NO

hahah lol hmm i think i might turn them upside down then put them under the axels and see what you all think  iv seen the error in what im saying lol so im gonna have to wait until i can afford portal axels but a low rider 88 might be cool...

got a lot of saving up to do then the last set i saw (good second hand) went for £3000+ on eblag and then you will have to convert them

As far as i know there are two things you can do with leave springs (not sure if it applies to all landys) these are;

swap the metal (leaves?) round so the top one goes on the bottom and the bottom one on the top etc.

or

move the mounting blocks lower or higher on the axel increasing or decreasing the ride height.

I think the first one is what the guy was talking about as its quite had to convay and understand, it does give a stiffer ride and some other beifits that escape me at the moment, however i would'nt bother with it.
