Hello
I recently had the turn signal handle changed and it is a few days that they do not work at all. I opened the cover and can not see any lose wires anywhere. When I try the turn signals I hear one click and it stops. It seems to be for both left and right. My web search has not been useful so far although I found out that series 3 does not have a relay. Any ideas why this is happening? What to test and how?
Tx in advance

Well, first, you need a multimeter or test lamp to see if power is going to and from the indicator switch, a.circuit diagram will help here. If the power seems ok, you need to remove the instrument binnicle and find the indicator flasher relay, its usually hidden in a jumble of wires. You can the.test to see if power is going.to this. The flasher units are not very expensive, well they are not in Britain. So I would replace it anyway.

Is your flasher unit a 2 or 3 pin type to check flasher remove the green and light green /brown cable link them together so that when you say indicate right on the stalk the indicators lamps on the right should stay lit this will show
the stalk and the wiring to indicators is functioning ,if the lamps do light it's a faulty flasher unit .

if they do not light up then then link as shown in diagram and they should light up if they do the stalk is faulty THIS IS AFTER YOU HAVE CONFIRMED THE FUSE AND IT'S HOLDER ARE WORKING WITH A DVM
