I would suggest finding someone with a nanocom or similar, plugging it on and taking it for a drive to see if anything shows up.
Do you lot all own td5 discos?

Yes, altho ,I do have a stage 1 on it, as altho not flat as you describe , in std form they are a bit "slow".

Cheers

Yes thats going to be my next step then if nothing shows its looking like a re map! i have a friend who owns one simaler year standard un mapped and it goes like **** off a shovel? i have tried everything with mine fuel pressure, new regulator, pipes off checked all them, removed pipes etc

have a look at the intercooler pipes, they sometimes de-laminate on the inside reducing airflow

Nope :p Neither the man above, nor my good self have such complex contrivances :Dm

But, OP, I agree completely with Mr Neilly - get nanocom on it ASAP - it sounds like there is an issue - we tow a twin axle tin tent with my auto and do not have the issues you describe - hence, I reckon yours is broked

If yours has a problem and is not like your friends std one, then it has a problem!!!, get it on diagnostics, a remap may not help if it has a basic fault.

Cheers

problem is most are remapped so his friends may be already.

Mine was remapped when purchased but not as effective as the Dynachip one I did not know it was, Mike told me

My TD5 Disco was pretty sluggish on the hills. Disconnecting (and subsequently replacing) the MAF did wonders for it.

I recently pulled a pretty heavy (2+t) trailer with mine around the Bristol Ring Road - had no issues accelerating away from the roundabouts. And it did the hill out of Bath pretty well too.

You might want to check your fuel pump - I experienced everything you're describing before my pump gave up the ghost halfway to Manchester a few years back. Saying that I wasn't towing.

A healthy TD5 disco wouldn't be struggling to pull past 2000 revs.

Cheers rob the fuel pump has been out and cleaned and pressure tested and also tested the flow rate it was spot on! i also changed fuel pressure regulator! just found out today after checking oil after last weeks trip to norfolk that the oil level had dropped and was nearly on min! topped it up and it took at least a litre, cant see leaks or drips
