What work is needed? Wasn't it £800?.The guys selling that black hse won't budge on price, for the work needed I'd say it's about £100 too much.. I will try him again next week!

New handle is £100 plusYeah 800, it needs a new centre exhaust/possibly get away with welding the bracket back on, tailgate handle is a mess, been glued on and the no. plate light is all hanging out and stuff, 3 window regulators are dead can hear the cables chewing up. The under tray/sump guard is hanging of, might not be complete I'm not sure. It need the window tint crap taking off the rest of the windows. And some general cleaning up. Plus the coolant level was low, could be using water/could just need topping up, there was no signs of any mayo anywhere though..
All very fixable stuff, but I reckon there's about £300ish of parts after servicing it and stuff without doing the head (may not need it) I reckon it will be worth a grand with it all sorted?
You can fix the handle and I've shown photos of how I did that in the past (and probably the gaping hole behind it), replace the cables instead of the full regulator and if it's only the hook missing on the exhaust then welding a replacement is easy.I agree, came to the same rough price list as you. Happy to do all the work myself, just not keen on paying that much for a car that needs that much work doing!
See what else comes up....
I think those were dealer "special editions", often called that to sell basic models through at inflated prices. I ignore such trickery and buy on condition and equipment levels.Another thing I have noticed... There appears to be alot of 'special editions' with nothing particularly special about them...?
Unheated leather feels cold in winter, but hot in summer. Are they colder than any other car?
Out of interest, anyone have a rough real world mpg comparison between a k and the V6?
My old Daihatsu was a 1L 3 pot - super little wagon while we had itYeah, im leaning away from diesel (baaaa ) but do love auto's. I think that mpg is just too low for me to justify though. The difference between the td4 auto and the K4 is absorbed by fuel price differences.
The main reason for me wanting the K4 is the super simplicity and cheapness to maintain. I would love the V6 though. I have a hatred for 4cyl... Rough and don't sound nice.. But as we know they are hugely popular! I'd prefer 3 cylinders!
