Hi a bit new to landyzone so be gentle, weve just fitted insa turbo special tracks 265/75/R16's to our 90 and their catching on the radius arms at full lock and was i wondering whats the best way around this problem. As for a short term fix weve wound out the steering stops on the axle!??

We have just bought a 200tdi discovery engine which we have fitted to our defender and have just rebuilt it plus added a new turbo. weve been told that a big intercooler will improve performance dramatically is this true?

There's only 2 choices really with big tyres, change the steering stops (as you have) or get some spacers which tend to send you through streering joints and bearings a bit quicker. Or just live with the grinding noise at full lock!

Oops, dint realise that, ta stig! MOT just coming up, better do something about that!

is there a point to this odie or are yer just tryin ter tell me something i , and every other fooker on ere already knows

Thanks but with 30mm spacers will the tyres hit the arches on compression??

Probably. Plus putting spacers on adds extra leverage to the hubs and can cause allsorts of problems. Do a search there's lots of threads on what needs doing to fit larger tyres.
