Oops, dint realise that, ta stig! MOT just coming up, better do something about that!

Borrow a set of wheels with legal TYRES for the MoT.

I ran a HGV workshops for a while. To solve the tyres problem, EVERY one of out 70+ trucks went to the MoT wearing the same six wheels & tyres! The MoT people eventually noticed. So I said "SO?"

why yer want big fook orf tyres?
They're only 265/75/16 (BFGS on mine) so not that big, which are useful as i spend a lot of my life drivin across grassy fields and wet moorland and they cause a bit less rutting than thinner ones! (rutting for me = £££!)

Is it easier to change the wheels over as per CharlesY's suggestion or move the bump stops for the MOT?

Change the wheels to "sensible" looking ones and the MoT man won't think you're a nutter that knocks seven bells out of the Landy, so he might look less carefully for problems.

Also, if the fat tyres stick out beyond the wheel arches AT ALL, it should fail anyway.
Don't risk it.

But fix the steering stops anyway so they JUST prevent the tyres fouling.
