First job of the day was to rig up some lighting
Once that was done I took off the tail gate and rear bumper
With this done I could get a better look at the rear cross member and it is ok
The body mounts on the other hand are shot
Think the bushes need replacing as well
Stripped all the panels off to find what the rot worms have eaten. After a lot of bolts snapping off and screws not co-operating I found 2 moor mice nests :censored:, loads of dirt and rust, now in piles on the floor and holes where there shouldn't be holes.
So after that the shopping list consists of..
2 front arch kits,
2 rear arch kits,
2 front wings,
2 front foot wells,
1 sill body mount,
2 rear body mounts,
full set of body bushes,
1 boot side panel
and a few tins of paint.
Thinking of where to mount some driving lights, weather to put on top of the bumper or cut holes and mount them inside.
Advice welcome.
Should have taken the photo before stripping the front
Also while I was waiting for the kettle to boil :tea: I drained the oil out of the replacement gear box and the sump plug resembles Dennis the Menace
Hopefully this is all of it and I won't have to re-build the box
