The Rangie was running sweet so we went for a spin over the Dales for a cuppa. Small England may be, but what beautiful countryside there is - and hardly any traffic. A few pics to share if you don't mind - had to use my phone as I forgot my camera.

Hardly any traffic? Not where I used to live in the UK.
I used to drive frequently from Brest - Nantes - Limoges and south and lamented a couple of years ago the demise of many of the small village bars/ hotels where you ate and stayed and enjoyed real local grub and friendship. Used to stay at a tiny bar near Parthenay called Chez Kathy and everything grew and lived within one k of the village. Roads here are now beyond a joke and the number of HGV involved accidents each day is quite staggering, probably because most motorists don't give them room and time. Over the moors today the roads were empty with most tourists preferring to stick to the A routes.

I'm near Poitiers, on our 30Km run to the shops 6 cars at the traffic lights is considered a traffic jam. I do not know North Yorks well, but my family are from the West Riding, traffic is terrible there.
Wonderful motorcycling roads here just as there are in the north of the England and Scotland..

We live 3/4 hour north of Poitiers and find traffic much the same, the Doris thinks 3 cars in a row is a convoy.

If you are ever near Latillé, feel free to pop in, you can laugh at my renovations!

Thanks for that, I would like to take you up on your kind offer.
Quite a bit going on at the moment, but expect a pm when I am free.
BTW have my landies visit Autovision Control Auto at Villiers, as he knows the marque well, (and gives a discount)

I too get a discount on my CT, when the new testing station opened up in Vouille, the 2 young guys running it had never touched a Range Rover, so they were happy to have me tell them about some of the idiosyncrasies, in return I get trade rates on our 5 vehicles.
Very busy here too, as always but never too busy to stop for a cuppa.

What you get from a phone cam is never quite what you see. Next time I'll take my camera - and my specs!

Aye, agreed - which is sort of why i termed them "piccies" :) - There isn't the quantity or, rather more importantly the quality of glass "in" a phone to take photographs, but they suffice for most ordinary purposes.:)

Still good to see though :)

As for the specs thing  - Struth, I know!:confused:o_O - this getting older isn't for the faint of heart o_O ( I know you know this ) - I'm gonna get my "god given" lenses changed next month - "Refractive Lens exchange" simply because I am so fed up with specs and the artifacts they create ..... always assuming I remember to take them .....
