Recently bought a 2004 l322 3.0td some history strong engine and box but thats about it.... on drive home brakes completely went to floor and got hdc abs amber faults ! Also suspension was hard locked just cleared that today and the heights are all over place ! My question is do i throw good money at it or sell for a loss as its realy doing me in

Gonna try bleeding brakes again tomorrow
Need advice please
 
Did you buy it from a dealer? if so you may be able to return it for repairs.
Did you buy it cheap?
 
Diagnosed brakes as failed master cylinder...one on order

Suspension is baffling me backs driver does not raise lower or do anything and reads over 2000mm on diagnostic
Rear passenger hardly does anything

Front passenger is over compesating and going high
Front drivers seems to be only 1 that is behaviing

11.6 psi in tank
No overheat and compressor is quiet and working


Would it be beneficial to change rear sensors?
 
I would as there not too costly, and normally fail anyway at some point, possibly check for wiring damage to sensors if rears don’t do much could be cuts/ damp etc giving odd readings, a lot are scared of air suspension but looking at diagrams etc it’s not a overly complicated system.
Personally I’d spend money if engine and box is good, and body is solid? Long term it won’t be expensive to fix, mine had just developed a squeaky back, looks like hub top and bottom bushes, just need to find the tool to fix it and clunky front, lower track control arm so about £70 to do both sides.

11.6psi in the tank? Compressor may be running but it's not making anything like the pressure needed.
 
What pressure should it be as lots of differing info on web ! Icarsoft is reading 11.6 in reservoir
I don't know the specifics of you car, but on the P38 60/70psi is needed to raise the car to normal height. The L322 is a good bit heavier so I would say at least 100psi would be needed in the tank. Compressor failure is common.

11psi isn’t going to do anything, pump may run but not produce any air.
Do you mean 11bar?

I have pressures somewhere and know they changed at some point.

The compressor is used to supply air pressure to the air suspension reservoir. The ECU monitors the pressure within
the reservoir and, when the engine is running, maintains a pressure of:
l 13.7 bar (199 lbf/in2), in systems without an external pressure relief valve
l 11.8 bar (171 lbf/in2), in systems with an external pressure relief valve

Have you tried recallibrating the suspension first?
 
Could have been bar but by that stage i was ready for the lighter and petrol fix

Not recalibrated as the icarsoft v3 doesn't supprt that om my model and at moment unable to drive it as brakes are kaput

No air pressure = no way to calibrate.
 
If your making a decision about it, just check around the rear arches and sill ends. If they've gone that may help you to make a decision ;)
And subframes, if the full of rust give them a heavy hammering and if like mine you’ll find it’s still solid.
 
F left 3.98v
F tight 2.87v
R lefr 1.1v
R right 0.87v

Took voltage of height sensors today ....and reservoir was in bar not psi
