I use Adams "rent-free" gas refills. You pay a deposit on the tank and then just the refill cost thereafter.I am now 12 months since I bought the TIG and it is still in the box, never had the spare couple of hundred quid to go buy the gas for it! There always something else more urgent, even on the 109 rebuild!
I'll need to get my finger out and get this...
I know, I have a BOC account for my MIG gas but want to move to rent free cylinders, the initial cost locally for one is £220!I use Adams "rent-free" gas refills. You pay a deposit on the tank and then just the refill cost thereafter.
I have a 20L and a10L of Argon. The 10L is my "keep me going" swap-out until I refill the 20L.I know, I have a BOC account for my MIG gas but want to move to rent free cylinders, the initial cost locally for one is £220!

This is just for the refill cost less deposit and is about 600miles away! The full price for a 20l locally from the same company, including deposit and fill cost is £220 from the local supplier
Yerp, I am aware that up in Scotland distance can be a great problem. I just put it up so you could see the name "Hobbyweld" as I even know full time pros who use it.
