It’s even more officially finished now, I managed to track down a corporal from the MT section of the regiment at the time, who remembers the trailer because it stayed in the same place for so long. He was able to fill me in on more of its history, it went to germany with BAOR more than once in exercises in the 1980’s.
He was able to fill me in on the paint and insignia aswell, (it would only have had a Union Flag in the 80’s in Germany and only divisional insignia in the UK) it was in camo (but according to regulations painted in the wrong ratio of black to green)

so I repainted it as it would have been when in Germany in the mid 1980’s. I have found other photos from the same regiment that show trailers painted in camo and the same :)

Have moved this trailer on now. It’s gone to a guy who has a 1980’s 109 and does the show scene so very appropriate for his vehicle.

I have picked up a mk2 wide track instead though

the wife thinks I am mental o_O she didn’t want me to explain the difference between the types of Sankey trailer. No idea why
