6hr drive.... Got in at 8.45.. Panic to set the tent and gazebo while the lads tormented each other... At last all calm and beer in hand!! Pictures are coming, tomorrow is the first real day.
By the way, the old girl stomped all the way up here with out missing a beat or temp issue. I may go back to a new viscous fan and shroud. The electric fan is very effective but sudden. The viscous is gentle and ever present. I'll leave Datateks mod in line to help with off roading in hot weather to boost if needed... By the way we've used coolant for the Vw audi diesel engine and it's seems to reduce the Temps and pressure in the pipes.
Anyhow thanks again for your help and wishes.

Hi Mark, just wanted to say well done we’ve all been there. I learned never stop looking for the answer from my dad when it comes to motors. Have a great time.
Tricky :)

Not sure a different brand of coolant will lower the temp. More likely the fact you've flushed coolant through, drained the build-up in the tank, changed the rad and put the viscous back on!!
Whatever, lower temps are good!! Enjoy the well earned beers

He has a thermostat on it he can adjust when fan kicks in. Also has stage2 setup with rad moved and huge intercooler upfront. Sounds more to me air getting in there - Is back hose near bulkhead all good? Main thing is nobody ended up in hospital, this time ;)
What I can’t work out is why you did not take the Canyon?

The canyon has transmission issues... Noise transfer box, a bit like my bus:p

glad you got your weekend Mark & family, It looks like you managed to have a bit of fun.

In the last pic did his TC kick in and get him out like he meant to do that:eek::eek::D.

Have to agree they can be very capable for a big bus:).

The last one was mine, my wife was filming after watching the car we were with do nearly the same. It was nose down on a decent so à little foot work on the brake was needed. :D
