Bit of cleaning up to do and then painting.
Then yet more fettling to B post base repair, and start floor to support welding.
 
That B post turned out just fine after cutting 100mm out the middle of it to get rid of the rot:)

I've got a lot of welding still to do to stitch that floor to the sill but need you to fab up the A post inner panel an the foot well as I would like to get them tacked in place as well at the very least next week ;)

Really taking shape now :D
 
Its been to wet to roll the shell out and clean up last Fridays welding, bur managed to cut and modify the bottom repair section (from YRM), so that it fits a lot better. As can be seen, I had to reduce the width by about 4mm and re-align the front face about 1cm further back, without reducing the length. This was done by cutting out a wedge shaped piece near to the base and then open up the outside face correspondingly. It will need a fine touch with the welder to tack it all and then weld up without moving any of the sections.

We've got a bit more work I see, tubular cross member end caps and that chassis side plate, could be worse I suppose, not much but it could be :)
 
As and when. I am sure we will find more as we go over it with a fine toothcomb

I had this idea, what if we "borrow some scaffolding from work and once the body is 100% we can lift it off and roll the chassis back in the garage, we could set up a sand blasting booth with some tarpaulins and duct tape, pinch G's hair dryer an do you a forced air feed for your hood an you could blast it from front to back an see what we need to repair and then it's easy to paint afterwards :)
