First comment from Alan was about putting it back on air but without throwing a fortune at it finding taller bags and mounting them and going through it too find why it was converted prior to me getting it as I don't know if it was a compressor fault or solenoid fault or something else , and obviously I've lifted it about 4" from standard height since I got it and put the wide wheels on and they try and eat everything within the arches at the height it should be at. And with everything else I have had to do to it prior to the mot work I think my wallet deserves a break :cool:
 
My coils were 2nd hand when I put them in. Suffered no end of abuse, even snapped a shock and no issues. last MOT mentioned they are bit crusty. Ideally I’d take them out clean them up like new perhaps replace the rubber mounts but there’s no actual problem with their functionality and i have no complaints of comfort or instability. Is probably most comfortable vehicle I have ever owned

I find mine are very comfy which helps when waiting for someone to pick me up when i break down :D:D:D:D
 
I can't rip an airbag open down a track in the middle of nowhere ;)

A couple things for air springs are..
On the 5hr motorway drive to an offroading course its riding at motorway height, doing 65mph and fully loaded. When getting there and unloading all the gear and unhooking the trailor with extra wheels and tools and camping gizmos it's still at that height. Then lifting to a chosen off roading height and mooching off to find a trail. As you know, careful driving makes for less repairs. ;)

I've thought about springs and body lifts and bigger tyres but all I need really are some 100% off road tyres for when I'm there. :cool:
