Can't remember how much play was in the front uj from memory, Best way would be to take it of and check.

That vibration was their when I had it, Before the rebuild, I always thought it was the big daft lift kit that did it. 50-60mph then disappeared. Might be wrong with the figures but you could definitely drive through it.
Other than that it drove better than most I've driven.

And the front prop is a different one to before the rebuild so I'd say it wasn't that.

So swivel pin preload possibly?
Have you had a good shake on the wheels?

It went through the mot ok a month or so ago, I was there when he did it and watched him giving them a good tug but again not being a mechanic myself I would know a swivel pin if it was delivered in a gold box

The work you put in is obvious and I'm happy with it overall but it's got 25 yr old landrover niggles like every other 25 year old land rover

That bleedin exhaust is going to have to go though, now it's a soft top it's getting really annoying :D

You could bring it round. A mate of mine knows every square inch of the mechanicals and has proved brilliant at identifying what issues are. Also we do have quite a few spare bits in order to swap bits around to check.

If he/you wouldn't mind I'd really appreciate that, I'd supply beer and crisps :D

I'm currently designing a roof console that might be just up your street :D The fuse/relay box can go in the engine bay or behind the seats...

Possibly be doable putting an IPX box there... How big?

The problem I have is, if you remote the fuse / relay chamber off to the rear, your looking at multiple runs of cable before you even do anything else....

Putting the thing behind the seats in a truck cab, to me is a no-go as there simply isn't room.

I have an endless supply of 5-8m offcuts of 4/8/12 core wire so it isn't a problem, I have 15 light mounting positions on my roof and 4 on the front bumper and every one has a separate wire running into the aux fuse/relay bay (plus relays and fuses for other things). You can see 6 fronts and 2 sides on this image. There are 5 on the rear light bar plus 2 unfitted central ones and 4 unfitted on the bumper (as yet).

Yes, I can see having that sort of off-cut as a bonus!
What size box did you use in the initial picture and was this from somewhere like RS?

What box? There is a aluminium plate with the relays and fuse box on it. That plate is fitted to the rear using stand offs then a cover goes over the top that I designed.
