My old fuel pump failed in April and I fitted a new Bearmach one. The pump had been fine up until about a week ago when it became very noisey.

Is there anything else that could be causing the pump to be noisey, or should I look into getting it replaced by the supplier?

I had a bearmach replaced cos noisy. could also be air admitance valve and or cheap pattern fuel filter. after i refitted replacement pump couple of days later got a bit louder replaced valve and filter nice and quiet now.

I think it was a Fram filter I fitted, which went on an hour or so before the old pump finally expired. Where on the car is the AAV located?

i hate to contradict you m8, but afaik the air bleed valve (WJN500110)is in the rear outer connection, in the inner pipe it's the non return valve which is not present on all modells(and it doesnt have much effect anyway)

I stand corrected only just done mine aswell must be going senile.

Thanks for the advice so far.

Bizzarely enough the pump is now totally quite again. Will see how it goes, I don't suppose it will last!
