Hi guys, I've got a 2004 td4 sport with 140k miles.
Recently I went through, a rather large puddle and had a pretty wet day in general as I use the freelander for working in forest terrain and the ruts in the tracks can become water logged. All was well but later that day on my way home I lost power and went into limp mode with a lot of white smoke from the exsuast.
I dried the maf and disconnected the battery, disconnected the maf but it still wouldn't go above 1800rpm so I got towed home.
Water had got sucked in and the air filter was soaking wet.
I've got a new air filter on the way and all the hoses, maf sensor and air filter housing are drying out atm but I'm worried about the turbo, would water have gotten in? Is there anything else I should do? Would water be causing a problem elsewhere?
Thanks chaps.
