So the power is obviously restored to the motor so remove the door card and take a look at the regulator and see what's happening (or not) when the motor operates...

as previously said once the window is calibrated and works correctly the ccu should restore the other functions.
 
Take the trim off the rear door and check the cables.
I think you'll find the whirring was the motor winding what's left of the cable end back round the plastic drum.

hi ive had the same prob the wires for the window wiper and tailgate had burnt out behind the rear right panel in boot, where they connect to the muilty plug connector , the center one of the three, after a day of rewiring every thing ok now, fuses did not blow either so no idea what caused this to happen
