Sorry to hijack the the thread but, on the subject of switch illuumination, are the bulbs replacable in the dash switches? as the bulb has gone in the front fog switch in my Vogue.

Yes...!!

well, figured I'd update you all.

The mirror adjustment switch in the switch pack is NOT illuminated and it shouldn't be. There is no light feed to it and no bulbs in the switch itself.

The rest of the switches are illuminated by 1 single bulb that has the usual clear plastic to diffuse the light.

On a related note, if you need any wheat bulbs let me know

Nah, there's multiples. There's only 1 feed as the lights are part of the switches themselves. Just wasn't sure if the mirror controls were supposed to be lit up or not. If they, I need to replace mine!

Did the single bulb have a green cover over it? to make the light brighter you can just remove that cover and itll shine white light.:)

yeah it did. The window switches aren't a problem, it was the mirror switch I was questioning and it turns out it's not illuminated anyway.

Good question. Probably because of the switch design. It's actually 4 micro switches on the PCB under the paddle. The paddle is just spring mounted.

When i sorted my wire to the switch pack it light up but light broke it can stay like that stops passengers fiddling if they can't see. Windows and mirrors work im happy enough for now

Yeah, only the window and sunroof switches, not the mirror switch.

I checked and the switches do light up on mine. Never noticed as I know where all the controls are by touch, never look down so illumination is not important.

Yep best to know where they are. Opening the sunroof when it's peeing down does not go down well. :D:D:D

I wonder if there was a changeover then? Windows and sunroof switches light up fine. The mirror switch however has no light/bulb/anything at all when you strip the pack down.

Mirror paddle does not light nor does the slide switch, I did not say it did.

Just think you will be able to look down at your pretty lights while you run into the back of a stationary truck:rolleyes:

Why would you want to adjust your mirrors in the middle of the night.:D:D
