kris i got me a rangey V8 ^^

need to iron out a few little things but i am chuffed to bits - its a bit choppy on idle, but engine is smooth as, and the tailgate needs adjusting, and i will fiddle about with the exhaust to make it sound a bit more grumbly also

love it - always wanted a V8

:fighting:

Pictures!!

Yes going to try and get out late morning as i have had to drain the gearbox oil as got trouble with gear chainging when hot.Good job i did as it was like milk have not done this since ive had the disco as the filler plug is mullered drilled 8mm hole in it going to fill tomorrow and plug the hole temp

He did say we would be getting some pictures, but nothing yet.

OKOK photo - the tyres on it are too big - 235/85 so i may look at getting some more suitably sized ones - what was original fit - 235/70 looks about right on rangeys doesnt it?

Dunno bout Rangies, but Disco was 235/70's, I've been led to believe there effectively the same vehicle underneath, little less clearance under the Rangies arches.

Rangies were 206 R16, people fitted anything from 215 70 R16 to 245R 70 16 but if the tyres are good Carpy I'd keep them myself if they do not rub on anything but being its a RR/Disco they will rub. You might be lucky if somone wants to swap them BF's for slightly smaller ones as they are a damn good road/off road bias for a main road vehicle I reckon.

Severe weather warning for the home countys.... Upto 40cm of Snow Expected... This could be fun Lads and Lasses :p

Kris, Mark & I did some lanes this afternoon/eve. Mark had his mums Mercedes ML320, Funny :D It got stuck eventually, Kris made it about 10 meters further before loosing traction on some black ice, and I didn't even try cause it was dark and I had no lights as a result of the dickety alternator belt finally letting go.

But it was good fun, makes me wonder why we don't go out more
