Where is it? Post in LZIR, someone may be local, sure any other car with a two rope would be able to control its descent.

I shalln't put up any specific LZIR request. I put the post above up, a little tongue in cheek cos its an AWD stuck on a hill and not much info on the type of road (if any!) down it, but maybe someone might give some advice on the bloke's thread.

I also quoted this thread on his post so if he's not aware of LZIR, hopefully he is now and if he feels the need for any LZIR support he can put a post up.

It's a kind offer but the practicalities of driving such a heavy vehicle up a steep slope with a sheer drop ont one side may be a problem. Yer'll need something much lighter like a Freelander, preferably on road tyres, to be able to get anywhere near the location of the Honda crv. :p

That would be like siblings being reunited after years of separation.

erm.... there's an AWD vehicle stuck at the top of a very steep hill and needs to get down it. Any advice? ...

Not quite. Honda came up with some idea's and was involved at the early stage with rover but soon backed out. It's thought this was partly to do with LR not wanting to work outside of the group. Honda said they couldn't see a future in it. Not many years later they came out with the crv instead. Me thinks they could see rover/LR struggling for cash on the project untill bmw turned up and solved that. It allowed honda to produce the crv quicker.

And not a peep from Little Beau Peep, unless he's out of fone charge and sitting in the motor waiting for the Cavalry?

If it were mine, I couldn't leave it there, but then again, I probably wouldn't have been so silly to do it on my own without a decently prepared vehicle.

Bloke was a plank.

Wonder if he's even been back on here? (not enough to go search out his profile though?)
