I know how that one feels. I have a special impact tool for undoing locking wheel nuts. I couldn't be bothered to fit the foam knuckle guard on it one day...... Funnily enough I've always used it since.

If it's any consolation I just had to replace a wheel bearing that turned out to be an absolute pig. The inner race was practically welded to the stub shaft, no amount of hitting, heating or even cutting would loosen it. Had to get a new shaft.
