FFS

Boot floor can be redone in a year or two lol

It is mental though, I thought mine was rotten, jesus wept, yours is horrendous.

I’m going to put perpendicular box over the floor on welded in hangersBoot floor is resting on my new beams and solid, just not so pretty. One repair section on chassis annoys me a bit too but it’s tough as nails.
Guys on here helped me out with my gun setup and paint advice etc. next month I’ll be buying lechler epoxy primer and starting on my body panels.
It’s rotten as hell isnt it. At the same time, I’m earning this truck. It’s more than parts money. It’s blacked finger nails, permanent welding bites, every emotion you could think of. Even today my finger is taped to the next digit as it’s ****ed and I don’t even know how lol.
I’m going to do a massive photo collage for home when done of key pictures then stick it’s mot in it lol

Cad last night turned to metal this eve. These tie into the off the shelf cheap wing piece.

Bit of metal work at home saves big ££££

Great to see you back on it, I got MOT tomorrow.

You got any of your rear seat belt parts kicking around by any chance?

I think I scrapped them! What did you need?

I've lost the little plates that are bolted to the boot floor that the seat belt buckles clip onto, cleaned them up and painted them ages ago and never seen them since, been through the bucket of seatbelt parts and nothing at all and I didn't really want to fab them up TBH as they are safety related and you can put money on the insurance scrutinizing them to the nth degree should anything ever happen.

No drama, will see if I can make better than factory lol

I chopped through the bolts on mine and more than likely lobbed the brackets as never going to have rear seats. I hope tomorrow Isn’t crap again - I’m working this eve so I can rover tomorrow!!

Tomorrow showing as wind only at the moment. I can live with that. I have 15 discs ready to be burnt down. I’m not happy with welder at the moment - it’s a bit odd but being a slag to dial in to perfect. I don’t know. One day I’ll upgrade it. To be fair it’s done well!! I’d like something will a really smooth wire feed and a euro torch. I don’t know what’s in store after the disco. I want to turn the disco into my main truck and get a nice prickmobile for the miles. The other side of me wants to buy an early 90s 750 and get that mint prior to using it to commute :D:D

So, the main focal point will be getting the d1 reliable and very usable for fishing. That means we likely stay 300tdi. The engine was smoke free and felt strong but we don’t know it’s history. Either way, I’m sure with a mini overhaul it won’t just go bang and leave me stranded. I hope? Surely lack of ecu means as long as it’s not major mechanical fault you can get a 300tdi home?

The 300Tdi just needs regular oil changes and a fresh cam belt every now and again, if you are in any doubt then get the injectors serviced and the pump rebuilt, apart from that the only other thing was the potential to airlock but so long as you follow the coolant system filling guides and bleeding sequence then it's fine, water pumps are cheap and easy to replace, check your radiator as your motor was proper off roaded so it is probably choc full of mud.

Cheers guys. Radiator has seen better days - we be replaced although seems lots of crappy parts out there which I want to avoid. Will get cam belt, water pump, stat, Brass screw and few other bits. Quite excited about getting it done. It’s set to eventually replace the hilux one day so it needs to be good. I still would like the tyres and bulkhead if still in your stores mate? I’ll come get when nearer the time if ok?

I've borrowed the tyres for the MOT as I just haven't had the time for sorting out my wide arches to cover the monster truck tyres lol but over the Christmas break I will sort our my arches and they will be back on the side lol but they have your name on mate.

Had an awesome day today. Probably 2 hours left on front wing. Needs a new battery tray jobby. Can’t remember if there was a reason they have circled cut out of them?
Cut the crap away from a pillar and welded in 2mm angle to tee off.
Filled windscreen hole with weld. Worked out that if the seam sealer is shot in corner of windscreen, it not only rots out the corner but also gets in the a pillar and drips down. also welded the corner of the bulkhead back into the wing. Just need to finish off the edges and add a bit of angle on brace bar
