Started fixing, keying and painting bits and began on a clean parts pile for re-assemble. Tarted up the tired 200 bits I bought.
Bumper had damage and had seen better days so cleaned that up. Now ready for primers

Oooh!

I managed to fix the little Peugeot, it lives, yay! :) Silly sausage forgot to connect a vac pipe and connect a multiplug on the Lambda sensor  Tramping round the country hauling Mrs and pup to mother in laws today so nothing happened to the Disco, maybe I'll have a look in the week, weather dependent lol

But it was a nice day all in all wasn't it :D

You still going 200 front end on yours then?

yes but need to speak to you re resistors and I need to work out difference in mounting points if any? I think bulbs may be different sizes too but none of that’s too difficult. I love the look of the 200tdi front end. Looks rugged, especially with light guards on

After a loooooong day in London sapping up germs from fellow commuters, I came back with a pizza and to my parts :D
We have the required arch to seal back end back up, two inner wing pieces (bought just for the ease really) and a tub piece.
Note - if anyone is doing rear arch and the outer, if you use the rear arch curved repair panel with captive nut in and the outer arch together, you will find that you can line it up perfectly as they almost interlock one alignment

Done.

although not sure how long the paint will last!! If it starts chipping up I’ll just have to hammerite the top coat

Getting there, every time I think about going out to Rusty after work it pizzes with rain so I don't even bother now :(

Hoping weather is ripe for Saturday? Heard a rumour that Saturday work is cancelled after so many of the feckless imbeciles were no shows last week, so now they've ruined it for everyone :mad::mad: If the rumours are true then I should get a day on the truck, it's one thing to play in the rain but something else entirely to do rain and pitch black too lol

Rain and darkness is brutal! I’ve been on the daily all weekend. I’ve been doing a lot of miles and getting uncomfortable. Seat base too short and can’t get it how I want. The answer to this was new seats!! lexus seats fitted!

Lexus :eek::eek::eek:

Posh bugger you :p:p:p

I got some done, not enough, the trouble is that I have so many chores backed up as the weather has really hindered them too, all the leaves needed blown and vacced off the drive, the bikes needed to have the covers fitted properly as winter is here and about a dozen other things that pizzing rain and darkness don't help with lol

How are things progressing with the Defender?

40 quid! Works been very busy at all different times so I’ve got car work in at home at random times. No farm time. Need to get back on it soon!

You started driving an Uber or summat? :D:D:D

Where the hell did you find them for £40?

Like them, would like to replace the seats in Rusty with something a little more comfy?

Go for the 3 series m sport seats in rusty or Volvo’s like mine. I saw them on eBay out a blown up diesel Lexus (yes they made a **** motor, a diesel one). Offered 40 and got accepted!!
They were trickier than what I have planned for Volvo seats, I hope. I chopped the feet off these ones and welded new ones on. Volvo seats in d1 are a combo of the rails welded together

Wow, it hates you doesn't it

That's mental considering what you paid for it!!!

LOL You remember the soup Rangey resto vid. The one I watch to keep motivated.... I just watched again. He didn’t have a drop of chassis to do!
Nothing scares me now with it to be honest. I do feel that this car has bitten me harder than any other I’ve ever done though!
That wing mount is fine but need two of the post ones up front.
I’m glad I took dash off to do it all properly.
The only thing I’m not massively happy with is the boot floor. I wish I’d gone with original but I guess I can tidy up at the end.
