I can get that box for free albeit 3mm thick. Could I not make boot floor horizontals from that too? Make a frame up and weld to the chassis boot floor feet? That's if it just so happened to work out height wise

Do you have anything left of the old ones?

They have a profile as the supports off the chassis are not flat you see.

You got a scrap yard locally with a D1 in?

There's one in Silverlake near me, I'll pop in and see what the cross member is like, might be possible to cut it out with a reciprocating saw and rebuild it so it could be swapped out to save time.

Have a contact in Wales now who sorted those lights. Mine might be possible to build off. I have loads of 3mm steel left.

If your up for it id really appreciate it. I'll message this lad too

One night this week I will pop in and see what it's like and if it's rebuildable I'll see if I can get hold of a battery powered saw for a night and chop it out.

Saw this earlier

Did you all do away with the scrappy little rubber rings that sit between the top spring seat and spring? Just seems another rust trap to me...

No, kept mine, one set (the rear most) is bonded to the chassis floor support and the other mounts to the floor support (the front one) and rests on top of the chassis support, the idea is that it is a damper between the chassis and body directly beneath the rear seats.

Think your talking about the boot floor pad bits. I mean the rubber ring that goes ontop of your suspension spring?

Ooops

Yes I kept those too until I fitted the lift as once lifted the springs now dislocate from the top spring seats.

They are a good idea though as they help to reduce suspension vibration being transmitted directly to the chassis.

Mine is same mate 2"lift and dislocation cones at the top. I think they only stayed on there due to rust and mud lol
