Yeah... Just have to duck tape it up for the winter if it does.

Let me know how easily the snorkel goes on... Saving up for one as well as plucking up the courage to cut the holes

was a part of the dorset land rover club but they were mostly about trialing again so long as somebody doesn't mind pulling me out occasionally too as road tyres get a bit cloggy :)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ahh is good to see someone else who is relativly new to all this. Finally got a d2 before christmas but have been going it alone. Having the worries of getting stuck etc.

Been doing alot of byway stuff but nothing too extreme, there are a fair few around but as 34064 says there are a number of voluntary closures. Would like to go to a pay'n'play but never wanted to go by myself.

DLRC is back doing lanes again! - it's still predominantly a trials club but there is demand from the club membership to go laning again so we're doing it.

Unfortunately the exceptional weather conditions this winter have not allowed us to go out as much as we would have liked - it would be both irresponsible and a PR disaster to be driving many of the countys lanes as they are saturated, even Salisbury Plain is out of bounds as far as the MOD and GLASS are concerned and we as a club are respecting this.

If you want more info or help on where to go please feel free to PM me, I'm the clubs Greenlanes Officer :)

Joined the DLRC on Tues but can't make the meeting tonight. Looking forward to getting my pack and joining you guys on some green lanes

Nice to see the fred back on topic of lanes rather than folk blethering on about their snorks and sunroofs and all that.

Boomer is the man to talk to about getting out on the lanes - he dragged me round (not literally) on my first view outings and is a wealth of local knowledge and lore. Stick with the pay and plays until they dry out a bit though, eh? There are a few hard pack lanes that are usable now but who wants a whole day out on hard pack..?

I have renewed my membership after seeing your posts on the website and want to do the laning so look forward to meeting up some people this year :)

I understand though that this weather is a nightmare as with having animals outside makes it tedious and some of the bridleways I use to excercise the dog and horses are becoming bit of a challenge just wish the weather would brighten up :)

As some people who I have already met up with on here will know I am all up for responsible laning this isnt pointed in anyones direction just seems to be some pointed comments.

I do think its nice to have bit of a social as well though we're all here to enjoy ourselves :):):):)

Right then back to working on the disco

Aw fanks Dom :)

No worries chap, you gave me a great introduction to the Dorset lanes!

Here, have you any time spare over the weekend? Fancy giving us a hand bleeding these pesky frickin' brakes? Either tomorrow morning or Sunday post lunch, if the weather suits. Or sometime next week..?

Aw feck, now I've gone and done it. Back on topic, take this to FB. I want my Itchy back on the road by the time them lanes dry out or for Matchams (23rd, init?)

Same issues, my partner has had to keep her horse inside far more than she'd like to as the paddocks will otherwise be in a terrible state.

Peoples opinions on responsible laning will always differ, there's been some interesting posts, pics and vids on social media of late that is quite cringeworthy :blah:

Come on down to the social night next month, we're doing a greenlanes night to promote the clubs new initiative....:)

Dom, I've messaged you on FB ;)

All being well see you at thebpub meet then or maybe matchams in a couple of weeks ?

Dammit, not going to be able to make Matchams on the 23rd :(

Because I'll be snowboarding in Bulgaria :D

But it appears that there is bugger all snow there

But that's alright because the beer is dirt cheap :beer2:

Hopefully catch up for an outing when I finally get the brakes sorted and Itchy MOT'd - and the lanes dry out enough to be playable!

Quick unrelated question but does anyone here drive a c reg 90 that followed me and my d2 through to Longham from poole way this afternoon? ?

Not me, I'm a P reg and it doesn't get outside throop much, usually dumped at the Broadway Pub all weekend!
