sounds about right for horsey folks, calls for help then wants it doing at their convenience, you made it sound the horses wouldnt see the night out, and peeps on here are willing to throw their evening up and risk there landys to help in something that isnt important now???? I'm more concerned about the 4 1/2 ft of flowing water to cross, how long is it?
Maybe a farmer with a tractor would be better??
By the sounds of it and in all seriousness, the use of a raft of some description to get the hay across would be more use than a vehicle.
