Hi guys,

Im going to put my frilly knickers and my pink tutu on now and be a complete vagina, but i need someone to paint my truck for me/with me that has had experience in it, I would do it myself, but dont want to completely **** it up, i am willing to pay cash to whoever does it which we can arrange and stuff would like to see an example of what you've done though.. I am thinking of either going Dark red or matt black..

Give me a pm or something

Cheers

Edd

Mates round, crate(s) of beer, barbecue, cakes, paint and rollers, job's a good 'un.

Mind, if you want it to look good make it strong beer ... and just keep drinking it!!

;) :screaming_bug_eye_f :5bparty:

Sorry, i'm in Australia so everything is called a truck or a ute over here so its caught on.. But yeh, i want to do my LAND ROVER with a roller but im not sure if mytesticles are big enough.

He said use a roller and paint tray, not yer bollicks!! (unless they're very hairy!):D :D

well by the looks of the response here im just going to have to bite the bullet and do it myself.. gulp.

It's a piece of ****. Done a lot more of mine last night in the freezing cold with a cheap spray kit. It doesn't look fantastic (close up anyway) but it looks a million times better than it was. Its really not that hard

Does it include a return flight

Have a go yourself, it's a defender, they look dented out of the factory

Haha, unfortuantly the landy is in england.. A couple of questions;

Does anyone know if i should keep the landy at a certain temperature whilst its being painted? And also, anyone got any tips as to where to buy paint from?

ill be doing mine shortly mate, with a spray gun... see how i get on and then maybe i could do yours afterwards?

im doing mine in a heated dry garage with a gas air heater going, did you know that the combustion by products actually improve a paint finish? We were setting that up for the new jag / landrover plant over in china.

Ive sprayed up a few sample pieces now and they are looking good.

well i found this paint i have been using for the sample pieces amazing... ok its gets you high as a kite... but the quality it leaves it brilliant!

depends what your after, a matt black type thing...in which case its a piece of piece.. or something a bit better. What condition is your bodywork in now? does it need loads of filling and sanding? (something i detest!)

BOdy work is fine, will need sanding as some of the old paint is flaking, but obviously i will sand anyway to make it porous, there is one dent on the front passanger side wing that the old owner put there that i need to fix.. thats all though..

should be an easy job then!

As mentioned im quite happy to do it, just let me get mine done. Im doing me horse trailer at the same time.
