your dead right. the devil is in the details. its concourse condition. how often are you looking to drive the machine?

Its getting there :)

I have lots of little bits to do yet but slowly working my way through them.

I've no idea really on how much use it will get yet but think at least once a week when its 100% finished

Spent the morning on the bonnet, my good mate Richard doing a bit of panel beating and myself doing the rust removal :)

Then down the local for a couple of pints

Wheels are finished, a fantastic job done by my good friend Ibrar
at Speedwells in B'ham.

Some more new parts, a set of genuine corner bumper mouldings

The wheels are on but need new centre caps.

Next stop the body shop to sort the paintwork out and fit the new bonnet. It looks good in the
photos but has several blisters that pretty much require both sides painting. On the plus side
the roof looks very good and will hopefully just need a mop and polish.

I cleaned up the centre caps from my 3 spokes but think
they need to be silver to match the wheels or just get a
new set, need a set of o/e locking wheel nuts too.

There's a car restoration show on at the NEC on the 28/29 March, i'm
thinking of going if anyone fancies meeting up in the bar :)

and it's spot on now so with that done it's almost ready to go to the paint shop

Also fitted a new starter motor

Fitted new top tailgate latches and got them both adjusted so they actually lock now.

Going to cut out 1ft of excess wiring to the central locking actuator and refit the rubber seal as that's falling off.

Didn't get round to cleaning the door cards yet but have ordered some Autosmart G101 APC that should help remove all the ground in dirt.

The leather dye for the seats arrived today so i'll be doing that in the near future

New centre caps also arrived :)

Thanks Adam.

Cleaning the leather is easy but just time consuming, if i'm ever down in Surrey i'll happily give you a hand :)

Used the G101 APC to get this off the dash which made my day.

I was expecting to either damage the dash getting it off or the glue
sticking it down had marked it as It was well and truly stuck !!

I forgot to take a photo after i'd finished but will get one later.

I'm on the hunt for nearside and offside rear door window frames
if anyone knows of any
