Have you suggested she rides in the back? When I had to give my mother a lift who is probably 5'2 (fat and lazy with all the old lady bone issues) she struggled to get in the front, but found there was more to help her climb in the back.

You could get a little peaked cap and some gloves so there is a sense of occasion about it.

Hi! GFL,
I got a nice set of Bearmach sidesteps (hardly used, heavy galvanised steel with rubber tops) that I took off my old 2.5, you can have em for £50, but I'm livin in Swansea, so shippin em up to you will cost a bit.

Just a thought?

Continuing the theme, it's even easier to get in the boot :D

Sounds to me like this chap needs a support vehicle.......................let me explain.

surely the best way to sort this out is to employ a mobile landrover mechanic - on a full-time basis - to follow both him and his pocket-sized wife around in a fully equipped van with a complete range of P38 spares and diagnostic equipment, and a small 4-legged step about 10 inches tall which could be deployed in advance by this heroic fellow every time the lovely lady wished to enter or exit the vehicle.

furthermore when it is raining he could be armed with an umbrella and then escort her to and from the door of whichever hairdressing/shopping/beauty establishment she may be visiting, thus minimising damage to her wardrobe and hair!

I am sure a few other uses could be found for him as well, particularly if he looked like that rally driver in fifth gear last week.

I know it would cost a bit, but this could be largely offset against the horrific on-going maintenance bills our friend is bound to encounter for his P38 - the mechanic could fix any problems during the night after they arise, thus negating a visit to a garage and our magnificent couple would hardly be inconvenienced.

This would stand our friend squarely in his wealthy wife's good books and his sex life would improve no end.

I think it would work............................

I do believe you are describing the Butler who comes as standard with a Range Rover :)
