Also have you done a check to see if it's stolen or if it has any offences pending against the owner?

Look on the bright side... everything might turn out to be legit, you'll spend a bit of money fixing the issues and you'll end up with a nice car which didn't cost you as much as you thought. :)

Might be worth a check mate, not expensive for peace of mind, premium motor and all that

Might be an idea to fix it up and sell it for £3250 :D
Thanks i am trying to pluck up the courage and a beating from the missus

If all pans out and genuine it will be a keeper

ABS wiring rubbing on the inside of the wheel rim is a common fault on the L322 - I had this on one of mine causing spurious ABS/EAS/HDC/DSC faults.....simple case of wheel off, unclip the wiring from the strut, disconnect from the connection under the wing, re-route the wiring, reconnect etc....

Front suspension bushes are also common on the L322 - she is a heavy bi-atch and goes through bushes regularly.....simple enough to do, just done ours took a day - but I like to take my time and drink coffee......probs about £300 in parts or so.

Coolant leak - common is the radiator, expansion tanks crack or the rear engine manifold.....new rad - £175, expansion tank £75 or so......Rear manifold - not sure, but it is a pain to get to, but not impossible.

Oh...and probs most important - check the gearbox.....

Any 'cattle grid' rumbling and you are looking at a new Torque Converter as a minimum.

Thanks a million much appreciated. What about the expected HG failure when i spoke with the garage the RR is at they confirmed the pressure test was down on the left bank. The gearbox was replaced with a new unit and documented with a kosher receipt

Any particular cylinder(s) or all of them....which would be most odd.

The M62 is not prone to HGF, not unheard of, but not hugely common either. If it has overheated, the heads warp with ease, and that can cause HGF..... @biketeacherdave is now a dab hand at getting the heads off the m62 and doing a rebuild!!!

If it was all cylinders down on one bank, that is most strange....research required on potential causes for that one!
