Good evening and a happy new year hope everyone had a good one. Time for a full engine rebuild ! parts are ready to be ordered so hope to begin very soon. I have a question that i hope that someone could kindly answer please would it be easier or even viable to remove body to gain unhindered access to the engine ( i have a 4 post lift available to use) or is it easy enough to remove the lump by traditional methods such as engine hoist ? It would be great to hear from those that have removed the M62 engine themselves too Cheers in advance
Easy enough to remove in the traditional way, lifting the body off the subframe would be a pain in rear.

Engine hoist, engine comes out the front remove the front slam panel and other bits and bobs we did it on my mates driveway on a bad slope

The block is stupidly small and light once you strip the rest off
