series III jurkes when ur controling the vehicle going up hill not even on a steep incline.
we have noticed that the probshaft is sort of slipping if u like but it only does it when ur going slow, at normal cruiesing speed its fine.

what we have done so far: put a brand new prop shaft on the rear.

jaked up the rear end applied the handbrake and tried turning the prop shaft but there is no play.

need help has anyone come across it before??
oh and its getting worse.
HELP!!!

My front propshaft has about 1/8th of a revolution of free play. I assume this is normal? Could it be oil on your clutch lining?

soem one else has said that but its the rear propshaft area that concernign me because its sort of slipping but the jurking kets worse until you put down the cluth and release it agin then it starts all over again

what clutch lining ? there is some free play as in rear wheel drive in hi there no connection as such to transfer box so what you feel is free play in diff ,in four wheel drive its conected by a dog clutch so there is still some free play unlike rear

i can only go on your description ,if you want to check clutch apply foot brake , let clutch out slowly while reving engine you should be able to stall engine in 1st gear if you cnt stall then clutch is slipping, feel diff for play and been notchy,if vehicle feels jerky its often bearings allowing shafts to jump you can feel it on out put shafts but might be easier with sump of t.box

bloody ell how many feet have you got?

the veicle gets worse in reverse, but it gets worse and worse until i dip the clutch then i have to start again

i know u said transferbox but ive also been told the drive flange on the diff??
no/yes??

would it help takeing off the rear propshaft and just useing the front propshaft to see if i have the same problem??
