What security devices did you have fitted AT THE TIME YOUR LANDY WAS STOLEN?

Would it be bad to leave the clutch pedal depressed? I get the feeling leaving a hyrdraulic system pressurised long periods of time might not be a good idea.

Failing that I might try and find a way to lock the accelerator to the floor, would make a lot of noise if you started it!
 
Is there nothing that can be taken out or unplugged with the diesel engines that would disable it, like the rotor arm with petrol?
 
How about wiring a circuit in to make any chosen lamps flash when engine is running unless a hidden switch turns them off.
rear flashers and headlamps in daytime would be a good idea, something to draw attention to the vehicle

What if the can of CS gas disabled them while you shot them in the face? Can't sue you if they're dead can they

My old Dad found an electric fencer connected to the metalwork was quite a discouragement, no good with plastic door handles or modern electronics.
 
I had my cobar blue 300 defender stolen after I stripped and rebuilt it back to near perfect standard condition . they moved 2 other landys to get it off my mates drive and cut the steering wheel to get the lock off it . insurance wouldn't pay because it wasn't at home address .

I bet that was irritating!... Unusual for the insurance to refuse payout simply because you weren't at home... what would have happened of you were on holiday or something?
