I posted this earlier in the Anything goes section - I wish you lot would make up your mind which section you're posting in. :)

Any way, for once, a duplicate posting should be acceptable, if only to repeat the plaudits.

"What an excellent day. Special thanks to the guys who led the different groups (even the one who took us the wrong way (no names- what happens in greenlanes stays in greenlanes ;))and a very special thank you to 110 Woman, who made enough gorgeous cake that everyone could eat as much as they liked (which for some seemed a lot;)). In fact my family are now tucking into a Lemon Drizzle cake :):).
It was glorious weather, not chilli at all, even when it was still dark this morning waiting for everyone to turn up at Fleet. :(
Poor old MSeries3 broke down on the M3 on the way home. I did see if I could help, but he had arranged a tow. Not sure what was wrong, he said the engine went bang and left a trail of oil and water. Wasn't the alternator problem he was having earlier then.

Oh,and as if I could forget, and extra, extra special thank you to Redhand for suggesting the trip and organising it.

When's the next one????

Ratty, in answer to your question in the other thread,I think it was a mate coming to give him a tow. It was difficult as I'm a bit deaf, and the hard shoulder of the M3 is not the quietest of places:D.

No doubt he'll be on later to give his verdict.

Sorry that you couldn't make it Zan, couldn't you travel with your BF? Or are you two not compatible in a vehicle, I'm like that with beer lol. We had a good day but were very hungry.

I can't believe he got past the alternator problem only to have that happen.:rolleyes:
