yeah but think the td5 would'nt have got stuck there tbh its got a fook site more power wouls have been going through a lot more powerfully
as to the ecu think it would just have got away with it did'nt reach the top of seat bulkhead .
unlike jamese1505's phone :Dnotice the black thing behind the pop bottle :D

the water main must have burst in your cab bucky thats where the water came from you got stuck in

Wots with the WD40? I got a feeling that it aint gonna help in that situation mate.:p

nah that was for the v8's but the only 1 in our group had to get a breakdown out after the first lane with a air suspention failier

well it gathers a tad more air on the long runs on tarmac + its easier to cut a bit off than try to put it back on if ya get me drift :D
its defo the way to go wiv a seperate motor to play in rather than ramp your daily drive about need to do more overtime me thinks

well the old bus was going to go last year to pay for toys for the td5 but never got around to trying too hard to sell it .
my daughter has a spare off street parking space round her place so sat there for better part of 18 months then i thought bollox! more fun than being worried about damaging my new baby :D
and i think the lads today will confirm i was quite "unreserved" in my approach :D

Dint anyone have any gaffer tape then?:D:D:D

Probably the first time the suspension has ever had a propper workout tbh.

Thanks all for a god day out as usual. Have got a couple of piccies and vids, will try to upload later.

Interestin day out, managed to get almost everyone stuck at some point,

Sorry about the rear recovery point Piggy, but at least you know what needs fixin :D

JP an I both managed to get stuck in submarine alley, trying to plough some new routes so to speak...................................

in my case a 6" deep trench with the front diff :D:D, couldn't even pull the bugger out with 2 landies, and then tried me winch and just pulled them both towards me, disco didn't even move .....................now thats Stuck!

Bucky managed to get stuck in D71's fishin lake, havin been through it 3 times without a problem,

Amazingly I went home with both diffs still in one piece, but the engine is runnin like a bag of ****e, wont rev past 3K and no power. Seems like fuel starvation, so need to check that out at some point.

Good to meet a load of new faces, an some old ones, catch up again soon..................

thanks for that buckshot!
I have a few piccys, but just got to work and realised I left the cam cable at home! duh!

I just to confirm that yes, buckshots driving approach in his 90 was.."enthusiastic"..
definately making good use of it, in some areas I wouldnt even get my disco wet as he was throwing the water out of every hole! hahaha

Was a great day out....

JP's reverse lights made me laugh the whole way round! Whenever we stopped at junctions, I kept having to work out if he was actually coming backwards or not!
I didn't get many pics, and they're not great, can't wait to see some more.

Ah what a surprise, the all too familiar scene of DV very very stuck, glad your phone managed to yield the incriminating pics James! :D:D

apparantly he only fitted them 4 months ago

Whipped it off when I got home and the plastic base plate has fractured. Oooh, I was sooooo p****d off!

They've done a few laning sessions without any problem. Just one of those things I guess.

Anyway, it's being replaced under warranty so should be with me tomorrow. Nice little job for tomorrow night!

Count me in on the next one!! Be great to see more than one lane! Was really good to meet everyone (although I've forgotten almost everyone's names again already!).

Thanks to all that stopped to offer assistance! I'm lucky it made it to the road really!

Guy

I was gutted for you and felt bad leaving but the mud was calling! At least you can get it fixed and ready for next time at minimal cost.
Can't believe those things have plastic bases - surely metal would be a little more suitable?!
