I'd decided to stay out of this once you joined in Colin and keep my opinions to myself about why such vitriol, if you're confident of your product and welcome competition then why be so negative. But as you carry on unchecked as usual its harder for me to bite my tongue. Call it a flaw in my character. Take the comments above: some might consider your tone as condescending my friend. As the yanks like to say, who died and made you president? But at least you're no longer presenting yourself as every landy owner's benefactor and best friend.

Why? Don't you want their custom? Nobody has ever said you don't have a good product. But to say people are somehow foolish to express an opinion about the sales strategy as it affects them is a little odd.

Just watch the video. Just after the comp screen comes on you will see if you pause it that it says it is running in 32 bit there is also a 64 bit option. As far as i know you can run 32 bit on a 64 bit comp but you cannot run 64 bit on a 32 bit comp.

Umm, yes I watched the video but didn't notice what operating system it was running. Don't care if it's 32 or 64 bit as long as it runs under XP!

XP is 32 bit. Windows 7 is 64 bit. Programmes written for 64 bit will not run on a 32 bit machine. BUT the programme was running in 32 bit mode so the programme MUST be written in 32 bit and therefore WILL work on XP.
 
I think before RSW's product can be dismissed it must be seen, i believe his attempts thus far should be credited for the work he has done. His previous work EASunlock has been a complete success and the majority of us has used it and in fact gotten us out of a jam!!!

February is not that far away, even if it was april or may i wouldnt care. if this product does what i think it might it will be worth waiting for. i have 2 P38's in the driveway a V8 and DSE and will be trying it on both and will be willing to post the honest results even in a video format.

Storey himself said it's written on 64 bit windows 7.
Regardless it will not be as easy to carry as a Faultmate Extreme which will operate as a standalone with no laptop.

Many millons of programs won't even run on Vista 32 bit as I know to my cost, never mind 64 bit Windows 7.

Yes but the software is running in 32 bit mode as can be seen on the video. That means it will run on XP. He say's it is being written ON a Windows 7 computer not FOR a Windows 7 computer.

Sorry that does not neccesarily mean it will run on XP, a lot of Vista stuff will not run on XP and Vice Versa. The fact that is being written in a Windows 7 environment means that environment will be used to the full so there is no guarantee it will work on earlier operating systems, although it may run in either 32 or 64 bit mode. It's not the computer but the operating system that matters.

We will have to wait and see then. But i hardly think Storey is stupid and would cut out most of the computers on the planet with his new system.:cool::cool::cool:

Like I said I am interested in it and its capabilities but at what price?
his original guide of time and price has blown out the door.

I personnally don't want to give my hard earned coin to anybody, But I needed this tool in June 2010 and unfortunatly Mr Willson missed the dead line.So I had to spend cash with BBS guy.

Now my next purchase is looming and I may have a choice but again it depends on wether Mr Willson actually produces a workable tool in time....

Would make more sense to do it in 32 bit that both XP and Windows 7 can run. And it is running in 32 bit on the video. So it is safe to assume it is a 32 bit programme.

But not safe to assume it will run on XP. Windows 7 has an XP emulation environment to run old software but XP doesn't have an emulation of Windows 7. Vista also has an XP emulation, unfortunately it doesn't run a fair bit of my XP applications.
The only way to know is if Storey confirms it is XP compatable, or buy and try.

The programme is running on the video in 32 bit, so it is a 32 bit programme. Windows 7 maybe clever but i don't think it can run a 64 bit programme in 32 bit mode. As Windows 7 will run either 32 or 64 bit programmes but XP will not it makes perfect sense to write it in 32 bit so it can run on most computers. Give Storey a little more credit than to write it in a format that 95% of computers worldwide cannot use.

You are missing the point. There are 32 bit and 64 bit versions of XP, there are 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Vista/Windows 7. Vista/Windows 7 64 bit will also run in 32 bit mode but for example Internet Explorer 32 bit will not run on on Vista/Windows 7 64 bit even in 32 bit mode, you need the 64 bit version of Internet explorer. There is no guarantee that a program designed for 32 bit Vista/Windows 7 will run on XP because there are sub routines/functions in Vista/Windows 7 that do not exist in XP. Microsoft regard XP as obsolete. The actual computer is to some extent irrelevant as you can run Vista/Windows 7 on identical hardware to XP

Bit ironic if XP is obsolete as the one that was supposed to replace it was crap and so is Windows 7 by all accounts. Will wait to see what Storey says about it. No good speculating.
