Ideally we wouldn’t need limits, everyone would drive accordingly.
In the day and age of bhp and 0-60 a main concern for your 1.0L Fez people seem to drive at the limit.
I have seen idiots driving 70 on the motorway in fog because clock tells them ‘that’s the number’... then crash into traffic up ahead.

Is the camera under the car one that really makes i larf.
What the point in that? So you can see what happened to the cyclist you didn’t see while you were staring at a hud? Save it to an sd card to check later ? :D

Remember the advert with the kid thinks he turns the headlights on with the force?

£1000 optional extra to turn your lights on with the fob. The whole point of them is to see where you are going while driving I.e. when in the car next to headlight switch and needing headlights.
Probably made more money than il ever see but is completely pointless.

See? You scared him off now...... this is why you lot cant have nice things, and you are doomed to own Range Rovers for the rest of your lives.......

If you ever live, or visit, somewhere that’s properly dark at night, there are times that you can’t even see where the car is, let alone get to it without tripping over something or treading in crap. Then, being able to switch the headlights on remotely is brilliant. I’ve no idea where “£1,000” came from, it’s been fitted for free on all 6 LR’s I’ve had.

It's properly dark where I live, I have this strange little device called an LED torch which is more useful than the headlight delay feature on the P38.

Why do you need an LED torch? They’ve got electronic circuits in them you know and certainly weren’t around in 1948...

What’s wrong with making your own candles from tallow? ;)

The Volkswagen thing on Landy?

If you say so.

I have recently bought a 2016 4.4 V8 Range Rover Autobiography with HUD and despite road sign recognition featuring in the owner's handbook, the facility is completely missing from the Driving Features drop down menu. Not only that but satnav doesn't show speed limits either. I want it to function for a planned Europe road trip.

When I bought mine I was able to register with Topix https://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topix/vehicle/lookupForm and see my car's service history, find a build sheet showing all the options & accessories fitted to my car, and download handbooks etc. I have just tried logging in but the system doesn't seem to be working at the moment, but that might be worth a try. Or a LR Dealer would be able to do it for you.

I need the torch because it's properly dark if there is no moon where I live and the headlight feature is of no use walking from where I park to the house.
As for electronic circuits, I used to design computer hardware, so I have a rough idea what they are.
I can't make my own candles from tallow, the EU seem to have restricted it's sale, I have made them out of beeswax though:p

What do you know, I’ve just worked out how you can get the road sign recognition to talk straight to the speed limiter, if you want it to; it will get the ECU to limit the top speed of the car to whatever the posted limit is.
Great news if you’re in a strange area, full of cameras, where the speed limit has regular arbitrary changes and you’re trying to concentrate on the traffic instead.
I’ve a funny idea that a lot of people here aren’t going to like this
